Give me a new inner “block”, a pointless belief, or a wound to heal and you better believe peaches, I’ll go for it straight onto tackle the thing, dig in deep in the depths of me, without any regrets or second thoughts if I should do it or should not.
Now, tell me to try a new restaurant, a new cuisine, or even a new dish within a familiar cuisine…. I get all resistant, finding excuses and {more often than I care to admit} I fall back on the same ‘ol same ‘ol.😁
No diff with geographic locations.
So far I have lived in 8 different cities, 6 different states and 3 different countries…. And on each move I couldn’t have been more resistant and dramatic about it 😁
Out of the 8 cities I moved, 5 of those I was starting over, brand new, without knowing one single soul in the new city.
All the reasons to make it even more scary!
Now, the “funny” thing is that just like doing the inner work, I can’t say I regretted going for a new place or trying diff types of food — ever! Some of the places and foods I tried I only regretted not going for them sooner.
Yet, why so much resistance with things that are supposed to be exciting + fun, but going head on for the scary + hard thing like inner work, healing childhood wounds and overcoming patterns and beliefs?
The certainty of the outcome
Going through the inner work and digging in the depths of me, I KNOW without a shadow of doubt I will come out of it feeling better, more grounded, more me, more clear + certain about myself, and with overall feeling of next level within and with-out.
Now moving to a new city/state/country? The beautiful transformational outcome is not guaranteed. I might not love it. I might hate it and worse…… regret it! {even thou that had never happened 😁}
Same thing with food. There’s no guarantee I’ll love the new thing I’m biting and I might “waste” a meal on something I don’t like.
So as scary as it might seem, as scary as we picture something in our heads…..
There is NOTHING to fear on the other side of doing your inner work. Nothing! Only things to gain.
Don’t postpone it any longer, love. Go for it!
The outcome is certain.💎
