Happy Paint Party Friday peeps!
I promise this will be my last Filofax post of the week, hehe
So, this time I decided to try again one of those red pencils to sketch. I had used them before, didn’t like them and went back to regular black pencil.
I thought maybe I wasn’t using it right?
Someone once said that those red pencils {or blue ones} are easier to cover with watercolor.
Well, it didn’t work well for me again. Everything gets “pinkish” once I start painting on it. 😒
I took a few pictures as I created.
First one, all pinkish but that is fine, obviously, because there is no paint on it yet: 😃
test
Then some watercolor and….the skin got pinkish. You can really see it on the fingers. Darn 😕

Now adding the hair, the face got really pinkish:

A few pencil touch ups, scanning and more touch ups, here is the final one:
Still sort of pinkish but not enough to stop me from actually using that picture! 😎
I really don’t know how to use those pencils so tomorrow I am back to the regular black ones 😛
By the way that was one of the last elements I needed to decorate the blog. Soon it will be all spread throughout! Yay!
Hope you all are having an awesome Friday!
Smooches,
Too funny, I don’t like pink, that would have driven me bonkers. However, I don’t think it was as bad as you think it is. I love the last picture for sure. Blessings, Janet PPF

please have a look on our monthly

a new theme is there!
I don’t think that was too pink. It came out great in the end!
I tried watercolour pencils of various colours and had the same problem and went back to ordinary pencil. But your has turned out really well.

So nice to see the progress of this sketch. It doesn’t look too pink on my screen. Love that pink Filofax!
Oh man, I think it looks great! But I understand not wanting the colors to bleed into the others. It’s frustrating. Maybe next time sketch even lighter, no pressure at all.
Best of luck! 🙂
I love your paintings! I’m using your Months inserts in my planner! Where did you learn to draw? I want to draw too, could you advice something about it, or make a video? (of how you’re drawing?) 🙂
Clara! SO sorry! I don’t know how I missed your comment!
So, to answer your question, I draw since I was a little kid – like every kid, eh? 😉 But stopped many years ago and just recently got into it again.
Advice? mmmmmm….. Start drawing! Anything that comes to your mind put out on paper without judging. It will start shaping up once you practice putting it out 🙂
Consider it that she likes to use alot of blush … 😉
