🇳🇴⚽️ Haaland’s Mindset we can learn from

What can we learn from a footballer’s perspective and approach to life?

Athletes are known for their strong and intentional mental game yet it is always extra special when we get to see them first hand acting on it and showing us how natural this gets to be.

For today’s post we have the one and only darling of the 2026 World Cup:
🥁🥁🥁✨Eeeerrrrrling Haaland✨🥁🥁🥁

Granted, the vast majority of us are nowhere near being a 26 years old Norwegian athlete yet there’s still so much juiciness we can learn from him which is actually applicable in our lives.

Small changes in perspective, assumptions and expectaitons of ourselves can do the trick.

💎Let’s get on some of those jewels, shall we?

Starting off strong with:

1. Nothing can go wrong

My loves…. if I could describe the way my jaw dropped when he said that.

Imagine knowing multiple opportunities are about to unfold for you, one feeling more dreamy than the other. What would go through your mind?

✔️ to prepare “just in case” for the twists and turns of things going sour?
✔️ to hold your horses on the excitement because you don’t want to be disappointed?
✔️ or the classic “it’s too good to be true” argument which would prompt you to have a full mind rehearsal of some alternative scenarios?

All those possibilities understandable, yah?

On this one interview, he has all those contracts and opportunities right around the corner and as he is asked “what are you afraid of? what could go wrong?”, he genuinely can’t see anything going wrong.

Like at all.

Imagine pausing, actually taking the time to think about it and concluding:

“nah. nothing… nothing can go wrong.”

😭

Please, I wanna have what he’s having! Is it the raw milk? 🥛

See the conversation {and his face} unfolding here👇🏼

Wherever he’s doing {or having} to keep his mind so strongly focused on good outcomes that he can’t even fathom something going off, is what we all need in our lives.

🎀 Because having this type of perspective, how can anything go wrong? And if something goes "wrong", we don't even register it as such. We just keep moving assuming that is not the end. Because it’s not. It is just a bump in the road. And we know it.

📝 One extra note here to point out — his child-like face when he is realizing nothing will go wrong and it will be “damn good anyway”. Because it truly is a playground to have fun, down here on this 3D world 🌸

Ok, next up:

2. Receiving support isn’t optional.

Specially if you want to excel

Picture this:

Haaland was just about to start in a new club.
For him that meant, not only adapting to his new work environment {team mates and club in this case} but also a whole new country, new city, new language, new life ahead.

👇🏼Here he describes how getting settled in unfolded and the impact on his DEBUT performance:

Can you imagine that?

A striker reflecting on how his amazing debut in a new club with 7 goals in 3 games would have not been possible hadn’t he received support with the basic daily setup of a new life like… IKEA furniture? 🫠

And we are over here tossing around “I got it!” any chance we have and taking on WAY more than we need to. Sometimes with pride even. 🥴

🎀 The tricky part here is to ACCEPT support. Receiving it and not feeling guilty about it or trying to overcompensate for it. Because being and feeling supported is part of existing.

📝 Note to entrepreneurs — we hear that kind of thing all the time: being the own bottle neck of our own ventures because we are afraid to delegate. Let’s not!

Ok, next up:

3. When you decide, it’s done

Honestly, this one we all have done in some way shape or form but we don’t realize how powerful this is. In another interview he was describing a {up to that point} tie game that was taking too long to define and this is what he said about it:

💭 “I was dead tired, so I thought, I can’t cope with extra time, we have to score”

And he proceeds to do so.

Meaning, he decided it had to be done.

He didn’t hope for a definition. He took charge of it. He made the move and wrapped up the situation as he wanted —with a defining goal.⚽️

There are {obviously} more people involved. With over 20 people playing, variables and different outcomes are all there. Yet, he sets the intention, decides it needs to get done and unsurprisingly he gets it done.

🎀 What is important is to realize that our inner commitment {a.k.a. the decision} changes us and things around us. It changes how we show up for the situation, who we are being in relation to it and the lenses we look at it. With inner certainty comes inevitable actions to solve and get things done.

📝 Extra note — I’ve talked about this specific situation before: of making a decision and getting things done in a time crunch because we need to. It involved eyelashes  👁️ You can read it all here.

Ok, now finally, my fave:

4. Feel into it. Your gut knows.

Here we have Haaland talking about following his gut feeling in making the decision to sign contract with a club — as well as the one club prior.

👇🏼He starts with the classic truth we all know and love:

Then he proceeds to demonstrate it:

This last part is even juicier as he is describing assuming a state through imagination.

He’s assuming he’s already in that club, wearing the shirt, scoring goals for them, celebrating them and then… seeing how he feels.

This is what we need to go back over and over again. Because:

🎀 Our gut feeling knows. When doubt creeps in and we dismiss it, we’ll end up running in cicles for longer than we need to. Even after making a decision.
Let’s just go for it first time around, shall we? Meaning, trusting ourselves and what we feel called to do.

And with that last nugget of Haaland’s insight we wrap up for right now.

💎Wishing you and amazing week, tuned in as much as possible in your own guidance, trust and wisdom.

Many Smooches,
