✨🌸Happy Mother’s Day, lovelies!🌸✨
Pictured above is one of the deliciously fragrant roses at the Florence Rose Garden from a trip I did to Italy 2 years ago
That trip was a special one to me as it came from a deep need of **not** wanting Mother’s Day {and the entire month of May actually} to be hard for me anymore.
Ya see love, I lost my mom 10+ years ago and I just couldn’t make myself struggle with it anymore.
The idea that events/situations are neutral and WE give meaning to it – ‘good’ or ‘bad’ – is powerful and gives us the option to choose a different meaning, a different ending. It’s on us to assign the meaning and behave based on that meaning. {as a result writing a new story from then on}.
I knew that intellectually already so it was time to put it to practice.
And I meant it!
So off I went with my extravagant experiment:
A whole trip to Italy! 😀🇮🇹⛲️🏰
Last year in a full circle moment – right on my mom’s Birthday – I wrote a blog post about it.
✨In it I am sharing all my findings on how things truly get to be easier when we perceive them easier — even when it relates to overcoming the loss of a loved one.✨
✨🌷Sending extra tight hugs to those of you had lost your mother, had to be your own mother and/or never had a good relationship with your mother. Wishing you a beautiful and easy day.✨🌷
Many Smooches,
